September was all about London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week (despite the swarovski crystals, designers, supermodels and shows) is all about the buyers.

The international buyers party was held over at MJU in the Millennium hotel Knightsbridge, Fashion Week's official hotel which is literally jam - packed with fashion folk throughout the entire week. We were on hand to help with press and general proceedings.

The event drew a big-name fashion industry crowd including Hilary Alexander, Zandra Rhodes and many, many others.

This week we caught up with Lianna, the winner of Britain’s Next Top Model as she embarked on one of her first jobs for fashion e-boutique LA Star Style. At a glamorous studio in Fulham, MJ interviewed her for a feature while she took a break from shooting. Here's a quick extract from what she had to say:

MJ: Have you always wanted to be a model?
Lianna: I never dreamed of modelling and was not really into fashion or make-up. I was raised in Derby and only decided to give modelling ago after a few people told her me that I had that model look.

MJ: What’s one of the best things that have happened to you since winning Britains Next Top Model 2006?
Lianna: Winning the competition has opened many doors for me and I have got to met loads of celebrities. The best was Jerry Hall as she is a heroine of mine.

MJ: Have you got to do lots of exercise and look after yourself?
Lianna: I’ve got to have a healthy lifestyle which involves drinking up to 6 litres of water per day plus jogging 4 times a week. I’m also more aware of style and I like fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

MJ: You love your home town Derby so how are you getting in London compared to Derby?
Lianna: I'm currently adjusting to my new life in London because city life is more manic and rushed than that of Derby but I love the experience and I'm starting to get recognized by the public when I'm out and about. But my mum is keeping me very down to earth!
